The Peace Maker decreed that if in the future, the affairs of the grandchildren’s generation will decline. Then, Hǫ·wah·nyoh·so·dá:hǫh (Pine Tree Chief) will be able to help the League Chiefs. He will climb the Great Tall Tree, and perch on the top. He will look for a place having an opening, a space for them all to escape so that the people may survive. He will then descend and place his opinion in front of the chiefs for their consideration. This means that the Pine Tree Chief adds a perspective to the matters that the Chiefs discuss and can sometimes see something they are missing.
