Principles of the Kaianere’kó:wa

Kaianere’kó:wa is a series of lessons about how people can transform their thinking without the use of threats, violence or coercion.

The law is not like European law. Instead, it’s a set of values, rooted in a basic respect for all people’s rights, in democracy, and in using reason to ensure peace.

These values should be applied to decision making and relationship building, with a focus on inclusion and collaboration. The Great Law of Peace doesn’t have police to enforce it or judges to rule on it. It is self-regulating.

What are the Principles?

  • Kan’ikonhrí:io – A Good Mind with Good Thoughts & Good Ideas. For peace to continue, people needed to treat each other as equals, with respect and honor and have a positive impact on each other. Kan’ikonhrí:io ensures that justice will prevail and negative ideas of violence, force, coercion and dishonesty will no longer exist.
  • Skén:nen  – A state of Peacefulness & Calmness & Wellness/Soundness of the Mind and Body. Peacefulness produced healthiness in mind, body and spirit.
  • Ka’satsténhsera – Inner power & Inner strength that comes from being United With Good Minds. For peace to exist, people need to be strong in character (uphold values), strong in body (wellness) and strong in belief (spiritual). The people, the society, the future becomes stronger when Good Minds become united.
