Hayę́hwataˀ then joined the Peacemaker to spread Gaihwí:yo: (Good Message) and convince the most dangerous men and women to set aside their lust for causing harm and instead, build a stronger society with peace at its core.
One by one the Peacemaker convinced the former war leaders of the Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga and Seneca Nations to lay down their weapons and pick up the cause of peace.
