Our villages were built near the waterways for both transportation and foodharvesting purposes. Fish were speared, netted and hooked to provide a steady food supply. The inedible parts of the fish were used a fertilizer in the gardens.
We give thanks to the Genjon (fish) because they cleanse and purify the waterways.
