Number of Chiefs

There are fifty Chiefs altogether for the original Five Nations who titles were verified by the Kaianere’kó:wa:

  • Nine Mohawk Chiefs
  • Nine Oneida Chiefs
  • Fourteen Onondaga ChiefsTen Cayuga Chiefs
  • Eight Seneca Chiefs
  • In addition, the Tuscarora Nation has seven Chiefs.
